It’s that time of year! The Holiday BookTubeAThon 2016 is almost upon us! This year’s runs Dec 29-31 and I am getting ready and pumped. I’m doing 2 back-to-back readathons, so this should be an interesting experience….
The other readathon, the Dumbledore’s Army Readathon, is one I know a lot of you are doing so you can check out my TBR for that too. The BookTubeAThon challenges just came out yesterday, so without further ado, here’s my list!
Challenges:
- Read a book with your favorite color on the cover
- Read a book that was a gift (or a book that was recommended to you)
- Read a book from a genre you got into this year
- Read 3 books!
My TBR:
- Favorite color: The Slow Regard of Silent Things by Patrick Rothfuss – my favorite color is blue, and so is this book!
- Gift: I Work at a Public Library by Gina Sheridan – this was given to me by my dear co-workers when I left my last job to go work at… you guessed it… a public library.
- Genre: Kindred Spirits by Rainbow Rowell – I read a lot more short stories for fun this year, thanks in part to Penguin Random House’s Season of Stories, among other things. (Also, you know, I want to pick the shortest things possible to ensure I get through it all in time. Not cheating.)
My 3 books:
Are you participating? What’s on your list?
I think I might do this readathon as well! Also, picking a short story is such a good idea! 🙂 I really need to read more by Rainbow Rowell.

Picking short stories and novellas is super smart! Hope you love them all. Best of luck on all your challenges!

I’m not participating, but it sounds really fun. I just know I won’t have the time to do it, so I prefer to be a cheerleader for those who are participating 😉 I Work at a Public Library is the best gift they could’ve given to you, how perfect! I’m not the biggest fan of Rowell, but I’d love to hear your thoughs on that short story because I haven’t read it.

Yeah, playing cheerleader is fun, too, I’ve done that in the past 🙂 I’ll definitely post a recap with quick reviews when I’m done!

I have yet to try a readathon, I just suck at sticking to a TBR. 2017 will be my year.

Haha, understood. I never do TBRs outside of readathons. I’m a whim reader normally.

The closest I come to a TBR is taking book out of the library haha. Other than that it’s me staring at my book shelf until something comes to me.

Perfect! I’ve been looking for a read-a-thon during this time, so I’ll definitely be joining along for this one! 🙂

I’m really excited for the ReadAThon, I posted a blog entry with my TBR (https://bookishr.wordpress.com/2016/12/26/holiday-booktubeathon-2016-tbr/) today. I find myself really wanting to read those books before I force myself to wait until the 29th!
