Sims Book Tag

So a long-ass time ago (*cough*February*cough*) I was tagged in the Sims Book Tag by Heather at the Sassy Book Geek! Heather is great, and so are the Sims, so I knew I wanted to participate eventually…

Spongebob eventually poster

A long time later, here I am! Celebrating books and one of the greatest video games that I wasted many many hours of time on during my adolescence building exact replicas of my house and/or Hogwarts. Did I say wasted? I meant gladly spent. Damn, I miss the Sims!

The original sims title

The Original Sims – The best author debut

Ummmm The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.

The Grim Reaper – Saddest character death

Tonks & Lup-*SOB*

Sims Getting Stuck – A character that just got in the way

Is it horrible if I say Dobby? (I’m not making a death joke, either; I genuinely find him annoying. Endearing, but annoying.)

Simlish – A book with amazing writing

My heart lies with Dickens when it comes to writing. Tale of Two Cities all the way.

Expansion Packs – A series where the books keep on getting better

Harry Potter duh.

Sim Romance – The worst case of insta-love

Illuminae and Gemina. Don’t hate – the love in those books was literally the only thing I didn’t like about them. They are awesome otherwise.

Cheats – A book that was entirely unrealistic

Probably something like Mosquitoland or Kids of Appetite, both by David Arnold

Needs Fulfillment – A character who made all the wrong decisions

Quentin from The Magicians books

Error Code 12 – A series that started off great but went downhill from there.

The Divergent series – classic case of slow (or not so slow) downward slope.

The Sims Vortex – A book/series that completely engrossed you.

Recently, the Starbound series had me surprisingly invested.

I’m not tagging anyone because this is super old and I’m lazy. Kthanksbye.

  1. The Hate U Give is my favorite author debut of this year so far as well!

I also feel you on Dobby, he does really get in the way…..

I’m glad I’m not the only one who didn’t like the romances in the Illuminae Files! They really would be perfect without them!

Thanks for doing the tag, loved reading your answers! 🙂
