Today I’m just going to do a nice, easy tag and pretend that nothing exciting is going on in the world. No, a major film release that is incredibly important to me is not happening tonight, and I do not have to wait an extra 24 hours to see it with my friends. Everything is fine here. FINE I TELL YOU.
Thank you to Heather @ The Sassy Geek for tagging me in the Fall Activities Book Tag! Fall is my favorite season (and it’ll be over soon!), so I’m real excited about this tag. Here we go!
1.) Apple Picking: A book on your TBR that looks so delicious you can’t wait to take a bite out of it.
Cinder by Marissa Meyer. So excited to start The Lunar Chronicles! I also may have chosen this answer b/c of apples and fairy tales and all that jazz…
2.) Corn Maze: A book that’s so much fun to get lost in.
The Neverending Story by Michael Ende. Seriously lost.
3.) Haunted Houses: A book that scared you silly.
I don’t really read scary books. So instead I’m picking the last one that had my heart furiously pumping, and that was
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
4.) Pumpkin Patch: The latest book you picked up (purchased).
Hector and the Search for Happiness by Francois Lelord
5.) Scenic Drives: A book that is lyrically beautiful.
Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
6.) Pumpkin Carving: A book you didn’t like and wouldn’t mind carving up.
Do plays count? Cause I think ya’ll know how I feel about this thing:
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by Jack Thorne and John Tiffany
7.) Hiking: A book that was a highly enjoyable romp.
The Princess Bride by William Goldman
8.) Drinking Apple Cider: A sweet book to curl up under the covers with.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows
9.) Jumping In A Leaf Pile: A book that reminds you of your childhood.
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Not because I grew up in 1930s Alabama, but because this book has been a part of my life for so long, and it is very nostalgic. Scout and Jem totally remind me of my brother and I as kids.
10.) Scary Movie Night: Your favorite spooky read.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz. These were the shit in elementary school, am I right!?
11.) Bonus! Costume Party: A book with an eclectic cast of characters.
Castle Waiting by Linda Medley. Bearded nuns, half-horse dudes, and demons is a pretty eclectic mix I’d say.

Anyone who hasn’t participated in this one yet! I’ve seen it making the rounds, as at this point I’m not sure who hasn’t done it. If that’s you, though, you are now tagged!
great answers – I just done this tag as well!

OH! I remember reading “Scary Stories to Tell in The Dark” when I was in public school! Wow, that brings back memories. 😀 “Cinder” is SO GOOD! You will definitely enjoy it. c:

Cinder, YES! I can vouch for that one. It was a good read. The rest of the series I didn’t like, well books 2 and 3, but I’m a minority on that. The majority of readers love it.
